Sorbas
Village of Iberian origin, situated above a tributary of the Rio de
Aguas, which its houses overhang. Of distinctly Arab appearance. It is an
important centre for traditional pottery. The Rio de Aguas area is of
geological, botanical and speleological interest and was declared a
protected area in 1989. It has the most important gypsum quarry in Europe.
There is a Reception Centre for visitors to the caves. Rural tourism and
adventure sports.
